SMC series contactors are used for long distance switch-on and off circuit, frequent-starting and control AC motors. If properly combined with thermal overload relay devices, it can work as starter of motor to protect against overload or phase failure.
Series of such contactors can be equipped with toy-brick type auxiliary contact, air time-delay block, mechanical interlocking device and other accessories to form time-delay contactor, reversing contactor, switchover capacitor contactor and star-delta starter.
